Method of calculation (this system will be used until the end of the group phase and before play-offs) :

UEFA formula:(c1+c2*2+c3*2)/5;

c1 (WC2006) and c2 (euro2008) calculated according to UEFA rules;

For the calculation of the c3 (WC2010 qualifying) each match still missing to the end of the group calendar, is replaced by a value that is the average (points per game) of the qualifying matches of the previous two cycles (wc2006 and Euro2008). To achieve numbers with the same size of those we will obtain at the end of the qualifying group phase, points and matches from WC2006 play-offs are not taken into account in this average calculation .
Using an appropriate formula, this average is calculated by considering the most recent cycle (Euro 2008) with a double importance compared to the previous (wc2006), according to uefa coefficient rules.

N.B.:

for Montenegro (no previous coefficients) I assumed that it have to play a minimum of five matches, so the points are divided for 5 until it reaches five matches played. From this moment I will use simply WC2010points/MP ;

The "difference ranking" and "difference points" columns show the difference compared to the previous list.
